A series of new statements from Trump regarding Iran.
He claims that Iran has agreed not to conduct any uranium enrichment, even for medical or civilian purposes.
“They agreed,” the US President responded to a corresponding question.
The US President announced that another round of telephone talks on Iran would take place today, with an in-person meeting to follow “very soon.” He said the initial talks, involving Witkoff and Kushner, “went perfectly.”
“I would say that if they implement the agreements they've reached, it will end this problem, this conflict—and I think it will end it very, very significantly. They're very keen to make a deal. We'd like to make a deal, too,” the US president said.
He added that “otherwise, we will simply continue to carry out air strikes with all our might.”
Regarding the transfer of American troops to the region and the possibility of a ground operation, he declined to answer.
He also stated that he would not recognize Iran's new Supreme Ruler, Khamenei's son, as the country's leader. “Most likely, the United States will find someone for Iran, like they did in Venezuela,” Donald Trump stated.
