Thousands of dollars and gold bars seized: a woman who helped draft dodgers was exposed in Odessa

A 38-year-old resident of Odessa helped conscripts avoid mobilization through fake documents. During the searches, counterfeit stamps, document forms, thousands of dollars and gold bars were seized.

How an Odessa resident helped avoid mobilization

A 38-year-old resident of Odessa is suspected of facilitating the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, as well as forging seals and official documents.

The investigation established that in 2024, for a monetary reward, she helped conscripts avoid mobilization and cross the border using fake documents.

A corresponding announcement about this “opportunity” was posted in the Telegram messenger. She valued her services at 14,500 hryvnia,

As part of the criminal proceedings, based on the results of searches, more than 270 counterfeit seals of enterprises, institutions and organizations, forms of documents and birth certificates of children, as well as mobile phones and computer equipment that were used to make them were discovered and seized.

In addition, the suspect was found with about $110,000 in cash and gold bars weighing 2.5 kilograms.

The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect is now being decided.
