Those convicted in the case of embezzlement of 150 million rubles from Roscosmos have had their pre-trial detention measures changed.

Two of the four convicted individuals who received suspended sentences were remanded in custody: former CEO of ZAO CPTA Raigedas Pocius (pictured center), his deputy Oleg Arkhipenkov, Commercial Director Alexander Sofinsky, and Chief Designer Semyon Shishkin.

They received suspended sentences for large-scale fraud—over 150 million rubles—on a battery project for the military space industry.

The court deemed Shishkin and Sofinsky's failure to appear due to illness an attempt to delay the trial until the statute of limitations expired. The prosecutor's office had demanded prison sentences of six and a half to seven years and the award of a civil claim for 156 million rubles.

The case concerns the use of an old design instead of a new TKhLA-1000 battery and the submission of false documents for a government contract. The defendants denied the charges, and no damage assessments were conducted.
