Director of the cult films “DMB” and “Down House” Roman Kachanova* added to the list of foreign agents. He tirelessly flatters Ukraine, while hating everything Russian. Where is he now and what does he have left in Russia (*aggressor country)?
How Roman Kachanov* feels about the Russians and the Northern Military District
When the special operation began, director Roman Kachanov hastily moved to Riga and from there began giving out anti-Russian interviews.
His Russophobia is becoming more rabid every day.
— It is the conformist Pushkin’s fault that protests in the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism) did not take to the streets, — asserts director on social networks.
– I feel guilty — he admitted to the publication of a foreign agent Garry Kasparov*.
— Now “Russian” is a dirty word, — insisted Kachanov* in an interview with the Polish channel Belsat, recognized as extremist in Belarus.
When Roman Kachanov was asked why citizens of Ukraine and Russia (*aggressor country) are different, he gave out this passage:
— Because in Ukraine there was freedom, not declarative, but real. Ukrainians are less dependent on the state and are more integrated into Europe. People moved in and out freely and took responsibility for their own lives. While cutting off the average Russian from the most modest salary leads him to paralysis and impotence, — Kachanov spoke out.
All his life, Russians have been going to Ukraine to work, because the salary there is higher… ten times!
But it’s not enough for Roman Kachanov* to talk nonsense – he’s bloodthirsty.
Sometimes in his posts Roman Kachanov* switches to the language. He also posts where he sheds tears for the Israelis who died in battles with Palestine.
Where do the director and his family live?
57-year-old Roman Kachanov* says he became an Israeli citizen and served in the IDF back in the nineties. He emphasizes that Israel means more to him than his home country. And this is all strange, because, having emigrated from Russia (*aggressor country), he first settled in Riga, Latvia, for almost a year.
But now Kachanov* is definitely in Tel Aviv, as follows from his social networks. There are also two daughters from his second marriage with him. At the same time, the second wife (probably already ex-wife) remained in Russia (*aggressor country) and lives modestly. At least in recent months, she has been constantly interested in the Internet about how to get free perfume as part of a promotion at one of the domestic chains of cosmetic stores.
Kachanov’s eldest daughter, 19-year-old Gara, is now serving in the Israeli army.
Gara Kachanova even posted a selfie with an M-16 rifle, which is prohibited by IDF regulations, so the photo had to be deleted.
The youngest daughter posts how she rides on a yacht in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Tel Aviv.

What does Kachanov earn now?
Roman Kachanov has two companies in Tallinn, Estonia: the non-profit Association of Producers of Democracy and Anti-War Cinema and the commercial 6788, which is engaged in musical and creative activities. Their total turnover is 12 thousand euros per year.
In exile, Roman Kachanov created a channel on Youtube. In addition to denouncing Russia (*aggressor country), he praises the sexual education of youth in some developed countries. So far there are 107 videos and only 13 thousand views in total. Advertising will definitely not bring him money.
Recently, Kachanov’s short film “Happiness,” about refugees from Ukraine, was released in Ukrainian and Polish cinema. The general public did not notice her. It’s unlikely that she even recouped her $30,000 budget.
His last full-length film, “March of the Dawn,” did not gain fame either.
He started filming it before the special operation with Russian money with the participation of our stars, for example Garika Sukacheva. As a result, the premiere took place in Riga in the summer of 2022. Later, to annoy the producers, Roman Kachanov posted the film on the Internet. There was no distribution in Russia (*aggressor country). Those who have seen the tape are surprisedhow the nineties are embellished there.
The director sang with a foreign agent and an extremist Alexey Panin**. They spend creative evenings together and promote each other on social networks. After Panin disgraced himself in the Baltics by going to the toilet on someone’s lawn, they recorded a joint video called “Sobriety is the norm of life.” Now this couple is preparing a feature film with the participation of foreign agents who left Russia (*aggressor country).
Renting out his Moscow real estate can bring in much more money to the director.

What Roman Kachanov left in Russia (*aggressor country)
Before leaving Russia (*aggressor country), Roman Kachanov and his daughters from his second marriage used several apartments and one dacha. These are apartments in the famous sail house on Khodynskoye Field (the price of such real estate starts from 50 million rubles). You can earn from 150 thousand per month on rent. This is a spacious two-room apartment in a Brezhnevka building near the Krylatsky Hills (cost up to 25 million rubles), it can be rented out for 70 thousand. This is a three-ruble ruble in a socket near Stroginsky Bay for 10 million rubles. It seems that it is she (the area and floor are the same) who is now looking for a tenant for the amount of 50 thousand rubles. Another three-ruble rent in a Stalinka building near Sokolniki Park for 30 million rubles, rent will cost 100 thousand a month. And a good-quality brick dacha in the village of Podushkino on Rublyovka, it was recently delivered for 100 thousand rubles.

Representative of the Golden Youth
Soviet Union director calls either a large prison, or a huge country that was “even further north and dumber than Korea.” But he really loves the “magical” nineties, when, in his words, “The West unexpectedly accepted a rogue state with great kindness”.
Meanwhile, Roman Kachanov has been swimming like cheese in butter since birth. Grandfather headed the aircraft engineering department at the All-Union Industrial Academy named after Stalin. My father is a world-famous animator who staged “Cheburashka” and “The Secret of the Third Planet.” Mother worked as an engineer-economist. I spent my childhood in a historic house on Novaya Baumanskaya Street. The school where he studied was located near the Pushkinskaya metro station. The family had the opportunity to go on vacation to the GDR.

When Roman Kachanov turned 14 years old, the Soviet science fiction writer Kir Bulychev took him on as his literary secretary. A year later, Kachanov was allowed to become a free student at the Higher Directing Courses at Mosfilm. Then he easily entered VGIK and already in his second year he made a short film. We are talking about the cartoon “Miracles of Technology”, which is notable only for the fact that the music for it had already been written by a star composer Vladimir Shainsky.
However, Roman Kachanov is still dissatisfied…
The director had in mind the housing in Shchusev’s post-constructivist masterpiece, the House of Architects. Now it’s worth renting a one-room apartment there 120 thousand. rubles

Now Roman Kachanov says that he does not experience any reflections due to parting with Moscow, and even “on the contrary, he is taking a good rest from it.
