The White House said sanctions on the oil sector could be lifted and the operation against Iran would end at Trump's discretion.
The issue of lifting US sanctions on the oil sectors of several countries continues to be discussed by the Trump administration, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said.
Her other statements at the briefing:
– media reports about 150 American soldiers wounded during the war with Iran are approximately true;
– the operation against Iran will end only when Trump decides that its goals have been achieved;
– the investigation into the attack on the school in Iran continues, Trump will accept any conclusion;
– The American military has not yet begun escorting ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
