The plan is to “conduct specific defensive operations to prevent Iran from launching missiles into the region,” the UK Ministry of Defence said in a statement on Platform X.
US B1 bombers began landing in the UK on Saturday after Prime Minister Keir Starmer gave Washington permission to use RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and the joint US-UK military base at Diego Garcia on the Chagos Islands.
