The US has seized another oil tanker linked to Venezuela and Russia's shadow fleet.
The United States has detained another oil tanker linked to Venezuela.
Reuters reports, citing US officials, that this is the sixth hijacking of a vessel carrying Venezuelan oil in recent weeks. This tanker is also apparently linked to Russia's shadow fleet.
According to agency sources, the tanker was detained in the Caribbean on the eve of a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.
