The US expelled a new group of Russians, among whom could be participants in the “Detentions” project.
Another deportation flight of Russians has departed the United States, according to the organization Russian America for Democracy in Russia. Several dozen Russian citizens were gathered for the flight from five or six immigration detention centers.
The initial list also included participants in the “Detentions” project, who, by law, cannot be deported to the Russian Federation, but human rights activists and lawyers managed to exclude them from the flight.
This is the second deportation flight from the United States to Russia in 2026. The deported citizens are planned to be sent to Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. The men who arrived on the first flight were served with summonses to the military registration and enlistment office immediately upon arrival in Russia.
It is not yet known what measures will be taken against the participants of the second flight, but the experience of the first deportations shows that the American authorities are actively coordinating deportations with Russian military and administrative structures.
