The President of the National Paralympic Committee, Valery Sushkevich, reported.
“We prepared our team uniform—no, not even a uniform, but a dress uniform—for our team. The International Paralympic Committee said, 'No, no, no—this won't do!' They said the uniform was political. And they said no one would allow us to compete in such a uniform,” Sushkevich said.
“Because the initial uniform was banned, we had to urgently produce a new one and send it by bus to Italy, where the team is already located,” he added.
