The son of the Secretary of the Security Council Patrushev received a share in the “Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port”
The younger son of Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev was listed as a director for several years. Now he has become the official holder of a 10% stake in Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port (AMTP). Thus, the Patrushev family continues to acquire assets.
Andrey Patrushev received the assets in December 2022. Prior to this, the legal entity existed on paper as a joint stock company with a single shareholder, which was a Cypriot company. Since the end of last year, the company has been listed in the documents as a limited liability company.
The Arkhangelsk seaport is a rather serious enterprise not only in the region, but also in Russia as a whole. This is one of the reference points of the Northern Sea Route. Thanks to the port, a series of routes are carried out in the waters of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
Moreover, the seaport in Arkhangelsk is a national hope. Russia dreams of developing the Arctic. The routes run just through the AMTP, which is regarded as a good alternative to the routes through the Suez Canal.
While European ports are being closed, the Northern Sea Route is gaining importance, opening up more and more new prospects for those who wish to engage in the transit of goods to the Asia-Pacific region. Of interest not only to Russia: China and India, two of the country’s largest partners, have begun negotiations with the Russian side on the joint development of a new logistics route.
With such a potential, Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port LLC is a more than profitable business. In 2020, according to available data, the company earned 1.5 billion rubles. Of these funds, “clean” – about 500 million.
Previously, the youngest son of the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation remained in the shadow of his older brother, but now everything is changing. In July, Rosotkat covered Andrey Patrushev’s progress in the gas market.
