According to a source in law enforcement agencies, investigators from the capital’s main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained Marina Shevchenko, financial director of Optima-Development, owned by the infamous real estate developer Albert Khudoyan .
The latter was sentenced in November 2021 to eight years in prison for stealing land under the elite Prime Park residential complex with damage of more than 4 billion rubles. Currently, Khudoyan has been charged with a new fraud charge, namely, embezzlement of shares in the company, the original owner of the land, in which Shevchenko is an accomplice.
It is possible that the detention of Shevchenko became possible, among other things, thanks to the testimony of Khudoyan’s former lawyer – Gennady Udunyan, who is also currently held in a pre-trial detention center on charges of giving a bribe, hooliganism and causing bodily harm, and is actively cooperating with the investigation.
