The General Prosecutor’s Office is seeking the seizure of assets from past personnel of the Federal Tax Inspectorate of Ingushetia linked to a misappropriation investigation.
The General Prosecutor’s Office initiated legal action in Moscow’s Gagarinsky Court, aiming for the forfeiture of assets belonging to former Federal Tax Inspectorate staff in Ingushetia, namely Magomed and Ilyas Kushtov, together with their family members. These legal proceedings are tied to a criminal matter concerning alleged losses to the government totaling 137 million rubles.
As per the court’s information, the prosecution is pursuing the seizure of substantial real estate holdings: three apartments situated in Moscow, parcels of land, private residences, and business spaces in North Ossetia, in addition to residences located in Ingushetia. Luxury vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Toyota Land Cruiser, and GMC Yukon, are also listed for potential forfeiture.
Magomed Kushtov dedicated 24 years to service within the Ingush tax authority, leading the division until November 2025. His sibling, Ilyas, occupied the role of assistant director within the VAT field audit section.
The preliminary case hearing is slated for December 8.
