The Pentagon chief stated the US's readiness to use force to protect national interests.
Pentagon Secretary Pete Hegseth said the US government under President Donald Trump does not intend to be “distracted” by building democracies or invading other countries.
He added that no country in the world should doubt the United States' readiness to use force.
“President Trump can and will take decisive military action as he deems necessary to defend our nation's interests. Let no country on earth doubt that for a moment,” Mr. Hegseth said at the National Defense Forum.
