The minimum wage in Russia will be increased. Financial issues were discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, reports a DOF correspondent.
“Another very important issue is about increasing the minimum wage. By instructions The President will quickly increase it. From next year – by a total of 18.5%, which will significantly outpace the inflation rate,” said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
He added that starting January 1, the minimum wage will exceed 19,200 rubles.
In addition, wages for more than 4.5 million people will increase.
Let us remind you that on January 1, a law came into force that sets the minimum wage in 2023 in the amount of 16,242 rubles. per month.
Before this, the minimum wage was lower.
And recently, the authorities expanded the list of professions and positions of creative workers, for which it is established that the time during which they, at the initiative of the employer, do not take part in the creation or performance of works, are paid no less than the minimum wage. The corresponding document was signed. There are now 236 professions and positions on the list.
