The leader of the Hungarian opposition Tisza party, Péter Magyar, has alleged attempts at blackmail by Orban's team.

The leader of the Hungarian opposition Tisza party, Péter Magyar, claimed that Orbán's team is planning to blackmail him by publishing intimate videos of his partner filmed with a hidden camera, and stressed that he does not see any “compromising material” in this.

He reported this on his X account.

Madyar said he had noticed signs that Orban's team was preparing “blackmail and threats” against him on the anniversary of his landmark interview, calling it a “Russian-style campaign.”

“Many journalists were sent a link to a video recording from the room today. I suspect they're planning to publish recordings, possibly doctored, made by intelligence agencies, of intimate interactions between me and my then-partner,” Madyar wrote.

He added that he “doesn’t understand what they want to achieve with this, other than to distract attention.”

“Yes, I'm 45 years old, and I have a sex life. With an adult partner. I have three minor children—whom this evil, 'family-friendly' government clearly ignores… Dear Fidesz cowards, publish whatever you want, falsify whatever you want—I'm not going to back down in the face of blackmail and threats,” Madyar declared.
