The International Court of Justice has accepted Russia's counterclaim against Ukraine, alleging “genocide.” Moscow has been given until December 7, 2027, to present its arguments.
The court yesterday rejected Ukraine's request to dismiss the lawsuit, ruling that it was “admissible” and part of Ukraine's earlier lawsuit against Russia, which also concerns genocide.
Ukraine filed a lawsuit against Russia at the UN Court immediately after the full-scale special operation.
The UN, however, does not consider the conflict in Ukraine to be genocide. Back in September, the international commission investigating violations in Ukraine stated that it found no evidence of such a crime during the conflict.
