The court found Lev Zotov, former deputy head of the Neryungri district for social issues, guilty in a case of fraud with budget funds.
He was given a suspended sentence of 2.5 years' imprisonment.
The investigation established that the official embezzled 215,000 rubles left over from a municipal contract and should have been returned to the budget. The funds in question were allocated for organizing and arranging events, but part of the money was stolen.
During the consideration of the case, Zotov admitted guilt only partially, while the damage caused
the damage was fully compensated.
