The SU-155 company was founded in 1993 by Balakin on the basis of the construction department of Glavmosstroy headed by him. It united 85 industrial enterprises and construction organizations. Among the SU-155 projects were the reconstruction of the Bolshoi Theater, the construction of the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University, and the all-season ski resort Snezh.com.
SU-155 became the first large company whose facilities had to be completed by the state, when more than 49,000 buyers in 14 regions risked being left without apartments.
