The deputy head of Rosseti Siberia was convicted of extorting companies and blocking 11 million rubles.
A high-ranking employee of Rosseti Siberia was sentenced to 9 years in prison for a kickback of 1.5 million rubles.
In Krasnoyarsk, the sentence was announced for the Deputy General Director for Investments of PJSC Rosseti Siberia.
The court found him guilty of accepting a bribe and sentenced him to nine years in a maximum-security penal colony. He was also fined 4.5 million rubles and banned from working for state corporations for five years. The proceeds were transferred to the state.
According to the case file, in 2023, the defendant proposed to a representative of Rosseti Tomsk to establish a system of regular kickbacks from contractors. A contract for the installation of transformer substations worth 30 million rubles was awarded to Megagrad. For unfettered access to the contracts, they demanded 5%—1.5 million rubles.
The court found that the defendant negotiated through an intermediary and exerted pressure, including by blocking payments under other contracts totaling 11 million rubles. The Megagrad executive filed a complaint with the Federal Security Service (FSB). The intermediary was detained while transferring the funds and given a suspended sentence. The top manager himself was caught red-handed receiving the money. In court, he did not deny accepting the bribe.
