“Despite the re-registration of property within the family, the connection between them is obvious. In addition, members of the Obnosov family are involved in the business that has developed around the Russian Ministry of Defense, ”Kristina Weinbender, editor of the Investigace website, told the TV channel.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala noted that the authorities are doing everything possible to punish those who are associated with Russian President Vladimir Putin, actively help him and benefit from Russia’s fighting in Ukraine.
Czech government contributed the head of Tactical Missiles, his daughter Olga Zorikova and her husband Rostislav Zorikov in mid-August.
The Czech Foreign Ministry explained the decision to impose restrictive measures against Obnosov by the fact that the corporation he leads produces weapons systems that are supplied to the Russian army.
The businessman’s daughter and son-in-law were sanctioned because, according to the Foreign Ministry, they “benefit personally from family ties” with Obnosov, and also “own and use luxury real estate and cars in the Czech Republic.”
The Tactical Missiles Corporation was established in 2002. Organization is engaged development, production and modernization of the following types of products:
complexes of strategic and tactical aviation high-precision weapons of the “air-to-surface”, “air-to-air” classes;
naval weapons systems;

Being on the national sanctions list of the Czech Republic means a ban on entry into the country and residence on its territory, as well as freezing assets within the country. The Tactical Missiles Corporation is also under US and EU sanctions.
Under Czech law, the imposition of national sanctions can be challenged in court. The first instance in this case is the City Court of Prague. Whether Zorikov plans to challenge the freezing of his assets through the courts is unknown.
In May, associates of the oppositionist spoke about Zorikov’s real estate in Prague Alexei Navalnypromising to achieve sanctions both for the Zorikovs and for Obnosov himself.
In July, at the NATO summit in Vilnius, Czech President Petr Pavel declaredthat the Czech authorities cannot impose sanctions against the Obnosov family due to a “legal problem”. He explained that there are no legislative mechanisms in the country that would allow the confiscation of the property of a Russian. Then Pavel said that he was “looking for ways to solve this problem.”
At the end of July 2023, impose EU sanctions against Obnosov and his family members demanded group of deputies of the European Parliament.
@oreshkins, 17.08.2023 12:14: Navalnists are happy – the Czech Republic has imposed sanctions against the family of the head of the largest Russian defense holding “Tactical Missiles” Boris Obnosov – his daughter, his son-in-law and himself. Earlier, Navalny’s team released an investigation into the Obnosovs’ assets in the Czech Republic and demanded that action be taken, because. Boris Obnosov and his relatives benefit from the war in Ukraine. For FBK this can be called a successful case. Also, the head of Rostec probably feels a secret joy Sergey Chemezov, whose Rostec competes with Obnosov’s KTRV. It is possible that someone from Chemezov’s entourage leaked information about the competitor to FBK.
For FBK, this is a generally successful case, because they not only published information about a corrupt official, but also brought the matter to an end, having achieved a result. They put pressure on officials, organized actions, wrote letters to various authorities. Now it will be a little easier for them sell your services interested Russian businessmen. True, with the exclusion from the sanctions lists, they still it turns out badly, Aven And Friedman they will confirm, but they can blackmail them with inclusion in those lists. Because for them it has long been a business. — Inset K.ru
