The court arrested the head of the company “Piro-Ross” Sergei Chankaev

He is accused under the article on violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities. He faces up to five years in prison, but the case can be reclassified to a more severe article, according to which the sentence can increase to seven years.

During the meeting, Chankaev did not sit down and did not raise his head and asked that, due to his age and state of health, he be sent under house arrest until October 9. The defense insisted that he was not the head of Piro-Ross, and the company itself had been declared bankrupt since March.
