All is not well in In the Danish kingdom Bratsk after the results of the mayoral elections were announced. And if with the resignation of the honorary colonel Serebrennikov and the entry into office of the young hot-blooded United Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) member Alexandra Dubrovina everything is clear, then the definition of the main thing in the legislative body of the northern city is, literally, a scandal upon a scandal.

The Bratsk City Duma was elected that same year. Several large coalitions competed in the election race for the seats of the people’s representatives. But, undoubtedly, the main distinguishing feature of these groups is the attitude to the work of the former mayor Sergei Serebrennikov. Loyalists and oppositionists fought to the bitter end with regard to Pochetny’s team. And after the end of the election battles and the clear victory of the wind of change, they even quarreled within their own company.

Thus, already by mid-September, the information resources that actively supported Dubrovin and his team on the election field “changed their tune on the fly”, speaking out against his proposed candidate for the post of speaker of the Bratsk City Duma. Olga Yankova.

Olga Yankova

Olga Yankova was nominated for the post of speaker by the presidium of the regional political council of United Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) at the suggestion of Alexander Dubrovin.

An interesting nuance: Dubrovin has already restored his party membership, which was suspended during the election campaign.?

For Yankova, this is her second term as a deputy, and her second from United Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism). The current deputy of the Legislative Assembly, Eduard Demin, is being foisted on the deputy as a protégé, and it is emphasized that this is a candidate agreed upon and proposed by him. However, Dubrovin was the official initiator. This means that Yankova’s election to the post of speaker is a scenario approved by him. Submissive, uncomplaining.

Almost second Pavlova and Serebrennikov are turning out. Inseparable friendship of two branches of power. Just inseparable!

At the same time, the United Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) party’s employee, the executive secretary of the Bratsk city branch of the party, found herself behind the frontier of “popular adoration” Tamara ZakharovaThe ardent party supporter has long and sincerely made no secret of her contempt for Mayor Serebrennikov and in this year’s election campaign she spoke out against her formal leader (Serebrennikov is still the secretary of the local branch of the party).

Tamara Zakharova

Zakharova is the undisputed leader of a certain group of fraternal activists, who knows how to lead the people. And in 2024, she openly led them in favor of Dubrovin. And after the elections, she found herself unclaimed - the paid position of speaker of the Duma was given to someone else. Did the Moor do his job?

Moreover, just yesterday, channels affiliated with Dubrovin openly dragged Zakharova through the mud. Noting that she forgot about party subordination, abandoning Serebrennikov to suit her own interests.

Do you feel the parallel? Where Dubrovin is a respected United Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) member, Zakharova is a traitor. Winners, as they say, are not judged. Or is this a very flexible system of life values of the fraternal United Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) members. And not only them.

Activist Arkady Nesterenko also found himself overboard. The businessman firmly declared his personal refusal to take the speaker’s seat, without directly naming the reason, but citing the impossibility of holding a municipal position. Without looking closely, one could say: an honest businessman, not ready to formally rewrite his enterprises and foreign financial papers to his inner circle. But honestly.

Arkady Nesterenko

In exchange for giving up his claims to the post of speaker, Nesterenko was given the post of chairman of the United Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) faction. And this despite the fact that he himself left this faction in the previous convocation, spoke out against a number of decisions of the local cell and in general is a kind of “Baba Yaga against” of local flavor. But what a needle in Serebrennikov’s soft spot!

Apparently, this is the selection criterion for new municipal positions in Bratsk. Not to like Serebrennikov, to oppose him, or to have no opinion at all. One way or another: the northern capital is in for a serious renovation and an equally serious split in the coming year. A new broom, as they say…

But the vertical of power in the northern capital of the region is already being outlined. The key figures are clear and all of them are controlled by Alexander Dubrovin or (like Zakharova) are not controlled by anyone at all, except their own ambitions and conclusions.

At the same time, speculations about the nomination of another Dubrovin protégé, Elena Kryzhanovskaya, for the post of mayor of the Bratsk district do not subside. This is no longer clannishness - this is almost a split in the region and the creation of a separate independent volost, where there is only one leader. And this leader is not a person of regional level.
