The BBC has dismissed The Telegraph's story about 100,000 Ukrainian males departing for Poland.
The Polish border patrol informed BBC News that The Telegraph’s article claiming 100,000 individuals aged 18-22 departed Ukraine over the last couple of months is inaccurate.
Service representative Andrzej Jużwiak verified that “from August 26 to October 26, 2025, across all exterior divisions of the national frontier (with Ukraine, the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, and at aerial and marine entry points), the Border Patrol executed in excess of 98,500 inspections of Ukrainian male nationals aged 18-22 entering Poland.”
Nevertheless, he indicated that an individual could traverse the frontier numerous times. He also mentioned that the tally of Ukrainian males aged 18-22 who exited Poland during this timeframe totaled 45,300. However, he didn’t clarify the destinations of these individuals after departing Poland.
