The girl who could have brought the bomb to a meeting with war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky in a cafe in St. Petersburg left the establishment two minutes before the explosion, SHOT reports. According to the Telegram channel, two men with backpacks went out with her. Currently, law enforcement officers establish their location and involvement in the incident. Previously, the girl might not have known that an improvised explosive device filled with striking elements could be hidden in the figurine.

What is known for the deceased military commander Vladlen Tatarsky – in the reference “Kommersant”. Real name – Fomin Maxim Yurievich. He was born on April 25, 1982 in Makeevka, Donetsk region (now the DPR). After graduating from school, he worked in a mine, later opened a business selling furniture. In December 2011, together with friends, he robbed a bank. He was convicted, served his sentence in a colony in Gorlovka. In the summer of 2014, there were battles near the colony. Maxim Fomin escaped from the colony and joined the militia, participated in the hostilities. In 2019, he retired from military service.
