The Moscow City Court reviewed the sentence of the administrator of the telegram channel “Kremlin Mamkoved” Sergei Sadovov and replaced the actual imprisonment with a suspended one with a probationary period of two and a half years, the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction in Moscow reported.

Sadovov was found guilty in February under paragraphs. “a”, “d” part 2 art. 163 of the Criminal Code (extortion by a group of persons by prior conspiracy on a large scale). The prosecution insisted that he, threatening to disseminate “false, defamatory and disgraceful information that could cause significant harm to the rights and legitimate interests of the victim and his relatives,” received from the top manager of Rostec Vasily Brovko money.

Then the defendant was sentenced to two and a half years in prison. The maximum penalty under this article is 15 years in prison. The press service of the capital's courts reported that during the investigation of the case, Sadov fully admitted his guilt, entered into a pre-trial cooperation agreement and fully compensated Brovko for the damage caused – 800 thousand rubles.

Vasily Brovko works as director of special instructions from Rostec. He is also married to a Russian TV presenter, director of the TNT TV channel and head of Gazprom-Media Entertainment Television (including TV channels TNT, TV-3, “Friday!”) Tina Kandelaki.

In September 2022, Sadovov was arrested. An RBC source reported that the investigation was led by the Investigative Committee. As part of the extortion case, they also placed in custody Alexandra Spirina. The VChK-OGPU telegram channel clarified that he works as an administrator of the channel “Somehow like this.”
