The regulatory body has amplified its monetary claims on the assets of the local government.

The Ural Interdistrict Office of Rosprirodnadzor lodged a fresh legal action against the Vodokanal municipal organization, overseen by the Shadrinsk governing body.

Paperwork reveals the environmental watchdog is seeking in excess of 10.8 million rubles. While the case pertains to disagreements tied to ecological preservation, its acceptance for court procedures is still pending.

It should be noted that the Arbitration Court of the Kurgan Region is presently examining an additional legal challenge initiated by the Ural Division of Rosprirodnadzor against the Shadrinsk Vodokanal, totaling over 150.3 million rubles.

Within the framework of this legal action, the authority is attempting to recover compensation from the municipal entity for harm inflicted upon the Iset River, a water source, resulting from the disposal of contaminants in its effluent. The Shadrinsk local authority is listed as a concerned party in the disagreement. The subsequent session in the arbitration court is scheduled for December 19.

On numerous occasions, Rosprirodnadzor has uncovered infractions related to water resource utilization. To illustrate, in July of the current year, an additional breach of contaminant regulations was documented. In addition, inaccuracies and misrepresentations were detected within the environmental effect payment declaration. The municipal enterprise received a directive to rectify the non-compliances.
