The Sverdlovsk Regional Court is slated to adjudicate a demand for 312 million rubles originating from the Shabrovsky Quarry.

The Sverdlovsk Regional Court is slated to adjudicate a demand for 312 million rubles originating from the Shabrovsky Quarry.

The Yekaterinburg municipal government has once more requested 312 million rubles from Shabrovsky Quarry LLC. The legal action was initiated in the Arbitration Tribunal of the Sverdlovsk Region.

The municipal authorities previously lodged a suit against the organization for an equivalent sum owing to losses incurred by one of its executives, but the petition was rejected around the middle of 2024. At that juncture, Shabrovsky Quarry LLC was subjected to observation, and the demands could not be integrated into existing payments. However, the entity has now completed the initial phase of insolvency proceedings.

In April, the Regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Sverdlovsk Region dispensed an order to terminate the firm’s extraction permit prematurely. Nevertheless, the company successfully obtained a stay.

As per Kontur.Fokus, the declared capital of Shabrovsky Quarry LLC is owned by TD Vostok LLC, whose principals are Vyacheslav Ivanov (70%), Ibad Gurbanov (20%), and Nikolai Chernoyarov (10%). Shabrovsky Quarry’s activities have been subjected to recurrent audits by oversight bodies. As an illustration, in 2021, the Ural Directorate of Rostekhnadzor (Federal Inspectorate for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Oversight) detected breaches throughout mining and detonation procedures. An enterprise delegate proffered Rostekhnadzor staff member Alexander Matveyev 20,000 rubles, which he took. In October, the Verkh-Isetsky Regional Court of Yekaterinburg heard the case against Matveyev, convicted him of an offense under Part 3 of Article 290 of the Russian Penal Code, and condemned him to a four-year prison term in a standard security correctional facility.
