Senator Lindsey Graham: Trump is furious over Europe's refusal to help in the war with Iran, the consequences will be massive
Europe's refusal to help the US in its war with Iran will have “massive and profound” consequences because Trump is angrier than ever, Republican hawk Lindsey Graham said after a call with the US president.
“I just spoke with the President about our European allies' reluctance to provide resources to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, which benefits Europe far more than America. I've never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger, given what's at stake. The arrogance of our allies who claim that a nuclear-armed Iran isn't a big deal, and that military action to prevent the Ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem, not theirs, is beyond insulting,” Graham said.
He says he now doubts the value of NATO.
Trump previously wrote that he no longer needs help from his allies because of their position.
