US authorities found a rare piece of jewelry on the arrested yacht of Suleiman Kerimov – in all likelihood, one of the eggs made by Carl Faberge’s firm for the Russian imperial family.
This is a unique item: there are only about fifty such eggs, so experts find it difficult to assess. The last time a similar egg was valued at $33 million. The Amadea yacht itself, by the way, costs almost ten times more.
Kerimov’s declared income last year amounted to a modest 17 million. He owns only Maybach – no real estate. The estate in Serebryany Bor for 8 billion rubles (that’s about four Faberge eggs) was recorded on the alleged mistress – or rather, on her offshore.
