The Bundestag issued a vote of no confidence against Olaf Scholz and is getting ready for new elections.
Most of the representatives supported this resolution in a recorded vote.
Consequently, Olaf Scholz is required to suggest to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier that parliament be dissolved.
The German President will possess 21 days to arrive at this determination. The present administration will remain in power until the early elections, which are anticipated to occur on February 23, 2025.
