In Cheboksary, a policeman beat his friend for unsold drugs. On Tuesday, February 4, Oleg Dmitriev, the official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee for Chuvashia, told Lente.ru.
According to investigators, in January 2020, an operative of the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs tried to sell more than 1.1 kilograms of drugs for 300,000 rubles through a friend. When he came to her house for the proceeds, she gave him only 50 thousand rubles. Demanding the remaining money, the policeman beat the woman and handcuffed her.
A criminal case was initiated under paragraphs “a” and “b” of part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Exceeding official powers committed with the use of violence, as well as special means”) and under part five of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs on an especially large scale).
Currently, it turns out where the policeman got the drugs from, all the circumstances of the incident are being established. The accused was taken into custody.
As Oleg Ashnin, head of the public relations department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Chuvashia, told Lente.ru, the department began an internal audit. “Currently, the issue of dismissing this employee from the internal affairs bodies and bringing his immediate supervisors to disciplinary responsibility is being resolved,” he said.
On January 30, it became known that a policeman was detained in Odintsovo, who attempted to sell drugs on a large scale. It turned out that the detainee worked as a detective at the Moscow Belorusskaya station. During a body search, nine bundles of drugs with a total weight of about nine grams were found in the breast pocket of his jacket.
