Russian military expert Valery Shiryaev stated that equipping troops with unmanned aerial systems plays a key role in the further course of the conflict.
The future course of the conflict will largely determine how quickly Russia can man its newly created unmanned forces, according to Russian military expert Valery Shiryaev.
He recalled that Russia is currently actively recruiting young people for annual contracts to serve in the unmanned systems forces. This is the only contract with a limited duration, which, according to Shiryaev, speaks to Russia's high priority in forming such forces, which seeks to recruit more qualified personnel.
At the same time, according to him, a powerful information campaign has already begun to disrupt these efforts.
“And then a surprisingly powerful propaganda campaign began in the opposite direction, claiming you're being deceived. This is a fixed-term contract, a trap to get you all signed up for the assault,” Shiryaev declared.
In his opinion, this campaign is being carried out to “convince students that they don’t need to join (the Russian Federation’s unmanned aerial vehicle forces – Ed.).”
