As it became known to the Source, two people were arrested, who are accused of involvement in the explosion on the railway tracks in the Crimea and the attack on the Shaikovka military airfield in the Kaluga region in 2023. They are Russian citizens Maxim Kosyachenko and Tatyana Tureva. Both are in jail, they are charged with two episodes of terrorist attacks (part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The explosion on the railway tracks in the Kirovsky district of Crimea (east of the peninsula) occurred on June 11, 2023. The machine train driver noticed an explosive device and used emergency braking, but, nevertheless, several people were required for help. No one had to hospitalize. The Shaykovka airfield several times became the target of the UAV, the attack in question in the Kosyachenko case occurred on August 16, 2023.
Both of the defendants, in addition, are charged with “the commission of a terrorist act on July 11, 2023 by mining objects of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.”
