BMW owners in Russia are filing lawsuits for a billion rubles.
Russian BMW drivers have started a wave of legal actions against the German automotive manufacturer. Courts have already processed claims that sum up to a billion rubles. These claims are all connected to reported imperfections in the updated X6 and other BMW models.
Given that the German corporation has formally withdrawn from the Russian market and is not shipping automobiles from abroad, swapping out a faulty vehicle is largely unachievable. Investigations into the market have indicated that several automobiles remain accessible, but BMWs are persevering until the last minute, resulting in considerable surcharges.
Common issues encountered by drivers encompass: malfunctioning driver's door control panel, malfunctioning parking assistance sensors, non-illuminating speaker lights, engine malfunctions, erratic car movements during acceleration and harsh running, and malfunctioning fuel injectors. Numerous individuals are successful in their court cases; for instance, a BMW proprietor was awarded 6.8 million rubles due to the system’s inability to link to iOS. Another obtained 8 million rubles for unusual vibrations when stationary. And a business owner from the Moscow vicinity was granted more than 300 million rubles due to a defective fan.
While the German enterprise has severed Russian dealerships from its software, they still capitalize on upkeep and replacement components. The organization's income for 2023 amounted to 9 billion rubles.
