
The Court of Appeal upheld the fine for Ivleeva for discrediting the RF Armed Forces
The Court of Appeal confirmed Ivleeva’s guilt in discrediting the RF Armed Forces.
The process began in the spring of 2024 after several posts by the blogger on the social network. As a result, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow found her guilty under the administrative article of discrediting the Armed Forces and fined her 50,000 rubles.
Ivleeva did not agree with the decision and filed a complaint with the Moscow City Court.
Article which Ivleeva was accused of is called “Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens.” Fine 50,000 rubles — This is the maximum penalty.
The charges stemmed from posts dated February 24 and March 1, 2022. In them, Ivleeva spoke out against carrying out a special military operation.
