Russia wants to legalize the ability to expel schoolchildren for bad behavior.
The head of the Human Rights Council, Valery Fadeyev, stated that schools should be given this right to expel bullies who negatively impact the atmosphere within the educational institution.
According to the activist, such bullies are few in number, but they have a significant impact on the social environment at school and attitudes toward teachers.
“Some participants in the discussion believe it (the grade – ed.) should influence, for example, university admissions. Others believe it shouldn't. My position is that a failing grade for behavior should primarily protect the teacher,” the head of the Human Rights Council said.
He emphasized, however, that expulsion should be a last resort.
