The oligarch's company will undertake construction of the most expensive highway in Russia.
Mostotrest, belonging to magnate Arkady Rotenberg, is potentially the main builder for the creation of the priciest roadway in Russia. As reported by Vedomosti newspaper, the initiative involves the novel Dzhubga-Sochi motorway, with an anticipated price tag of 1 trillion rubles.
The projected cost of the four-lane expressway initially stood at 1.6 trillion rubles for a length of 119 kilometers. Rosavtodor later diminished the assessment to 1 trillion rubles, shortening the distance to 80.5 kilometers. Despite documentation still labeling the venture as Dzhubga-Sochi, the agency is now suggesting the route to Sochi be constructed from Tuapse, rather than Dzhubga.
Roadwork on the motorway is essential for easing gridlock on the current route. During the summer months, traffic bottlenecks on this section of the Black Sea shoreline extend for many kilometers. The fresh motorway has a projected completion date of 2037.
The scheme is presently under active deliberation with construction firms, and Arkady Rotenberg’s Mostotrest is anticipated to be the primary constructor. Vedomosti indicates that selections for subcontractors are already underway.
