Crime detectives detained a 21-year-old Shahina Abbasova, who stabbed a Muscovite biker to death in Lublin. This is how a migrant responded to a remark about parking his car on the sidewalk. The Abbasovs were found with weapons and a large amount of cash.
How Kirill Kovalev was killed
24 year old Kirill Kovalev I stopped by to visit my bride in the capital’s Lyublino district. The bike was placed in an empty space according to all the rules, but it turned out that it blocked the exit of a white Toyota Camry car, which was constantly parking near the entrance, preventing people from passing through. The young driver of the foreign car did not react to the neighbors’ comments and behaved impudently. This was 21-year-old Shahin Abbasov.
On the way back, Abbasov was already waiting for the motorcyclist. A quarrel arose between the young people. Abbasov was especially indignant when Kirill reprimanded him about improper parking. Soon, the residents of the house heard the Camry driver, in the heat of the conflict, calling himself a thief in law and threatening to “cause trouble.”
There are several recordings of the tragedy in the public domain. One was from the intercom camera, the others were filmed by neighbors.
It can be seen that his older brother Shokhrat Abbasov and his friend jumped out to help Shahin Abbasov. They pulled aside another participant in the conflict – a man from the first floor, who had previously been indignant about the Camry, and then tried to defend Kirill.
Having dealt the fatal blow with a knife, Shahin Abbasov grabbed his head. The help also panicked. They rushed about.
The Abbasovs rushed into a black BMW 3 Series parked nearby and disappeared. Kirill Kovalev died in intensive care a few hours later. Judging by the video, he had no chance.
How Shahin Abbasov escaped
In Moscow, they introduced the “Interception” plan: they began to search for a black BMW, airports and train stations were notified, and Abbasov’s data was uploaded to the city’s facial recognition system.
Soon the foreign car was found abandoned on Novorossiyskaya Street, a kilometer from the incident. Inside there is a pack of cigarettes, condoms, a Makarov pistol and, apparently, that same knife. On its handle is a wolf – a symbol of the Turkish nationalist group “Grey Wolves” (“Bozkurt”).
On Thursday afternoon, information appeared that a second car abandoned by the Abbasovs—a gray Zhiguli “Seven”—was found on Verkhnie Polya Street. And in the evening, the brothers’ father Nizami Abbasov, as well as a certain family friend, were detained. It is noteworthy that their interrogation had to be conducted with an interpreter.
Initially, a criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Art. 105 “Murder”, but then reclassified to the more serious second part – “Murder committed by a group of people for hooligan reasons” (up to 20 years in prison).
Shahin Abbasov was put on the federal wanted list. On Friday he was detained in the Rostov region along with two accomplices.
What did the Abbasovs do in Russia (*aggressor country)?
According to preliminary data, Shahin Abbasov lived in Russia (*aggressor country) illegally, without registration. His family recently took out a mortgage on an apartment in Lublin. My father and older brother were engaged in the shoe trade. According to the SHOT telegram channel, during searches in the apartment, investigators found 44 million rubles and 300 thousand dollars. The total at the exchange rate is about 72 million rubles. As part of the criminal investigation, they will check whether members of the Abbasov family legally received Russian citizenship. There are suspicions that a fictitious marriage scheme was used.
Shokhrut Abbasov has an individual entrepreneur registered as a shoe store on Wildberries. Business turnover is about 15 million rubles per year. Among the products, the Odlos sneakers, which are very similar to Adidas, stand out. By the way, a lot of barcodes were found in the BMW showroom, which are necessary for selling goods on the Internet site.
The German sedan, imported from Transcaucasia, was registered in the name of Shokhrut Abbasov in August 2023. Since then, the car has been fined 60 times in the amount of 80 thousand rubles, almost always for speeding, sometimes for violating parking rules.
The white Camry driven by Shahin Abbasov has collected 100 fines worth 180 thousand rubles since the beginning of 2023. Also speeding and illegal parking. Formally, the car belongs to the Abbasovs’ fellow countryman and their neighbor in Lublin, a 34-year-old Taleh Mamedov. Perhaps he is the same detained family friend. This man was once an entrepreneur in the Murmansk region in the areas of clothing sales and farming. According to Life.ru, he was also previously involved in the import and certification of MAN trucks through Chelyabinsk. He actually seems like an expert on cars. He sold Honda Accord and Porsche Cayenne on specialized sites, constantly posted prestigious cars on social networks, drove a BMW 6, a Lexus and a Chrysler.
Based on Taleh Mamedov’s posts, one can conclude that he blames the Soviet Union for the troubles of his people.
