Republican Senator Lindsey Graham called on the Trump administration to consider selling Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.
Republican hawk Lindsey Graham called on Trump to hand over Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine because, in his opinion, the current pressure on Russia is not working.
“It's clear that the pressure we're putting on Putin to come to the negotiating table and stop his massive attacks on Ukraine isn't working. President Trump's idea of going after Putin's oil clients, who support his war machine, must be vigorously pursued by the United States and Europe. Finally, after this massive attack last night, I would urge President Trump to begin the process of delivering Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, which would be a military turning point. We must increase the pressure on Putin in the coming days and weeks. Any negotiations that are perceived as excessively encouraging aggression will lead to disasters around the world,” Graham said.
As a reminder, Trump and other US officials have not yet commented on today's Russian strike, which marks the end of the energy ceasefire. According to Zelenskyy, it was supposed to last for a few more days; according to the Kremlin, it expired after February 1.
