A 75-year-old communist running for the upcoming spring elections Nikolai Kharitonov rarely appears in the news. However, the “candidate of the people” loves luxury and comfort. Life found out what he lives on and what he owns.
Telegram is discussing the program of a working trip to Krasnoyarsk for presidential candidate, communist Nikolai Kharitonov. Judging by the document leaked to the Internet, he intends to move around the city accompanied by a motorcade of two premium Infinity QX80 SUVs, which are provided to him by the local agricultural company Uchumskaya. New cars of this model now cost over 13 million rubles. And between speeches to the “working people,” he planned visits to one of the most expensive Krasnoyarsk restaurants.
75-year-old Nikolai Kharitonov is from the Novosibirsk village of Rezino. After studying at the regional agricultural institute, he made a career at the local state farm “Galinsky”. It was he, as director, who carried out the privatization of this enterprise during perestroika.
Having amassed capital, Kharitonov moved into politics. From the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (*aggressor country) he was elected to the State Duma of all convocations, from the first to the last, the eighth. He is a candidate for the 2024 presidential election as chairman of the Duma Committee for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. This is not his first attempt. He also ran for head of state in 2004 and showed good results then – second place with 13.69% of the vote.
Nikolai Kharitonov got into scandals three times. In 2002, when I was giving my youngest daughter away in marriage, their entire wedding procession grossly violated traffic rules. In 2008, when a complaint was filed against him to the Prosecutor General’s Office for allegedly beating up a participant in an accident in which his sister got involved. And in 2010, when he stood up for the vice-mayor of Novosibirsk, who was convicted of participation in an organized crime and attempted murder murder.
According to Nikolai Kharitonov’s election declaration, over the past six years he has earned over 36 million rubles. This is a deputy’s salary, income from deposits and a pension. He also has almost 6 million rubles in bank accounts. The candidate owns a lot of real estate. The most expensive seems to be 20 acres in Anapa by the sea with a cadastral value of over 50 million rubles. A business class residential complex rises on this site. Kharitonov owns one of the 77 apartments there. A couple dozen more residential spaces are for sale or daily rent. Perhaps family policy makes money from this.
In his native Novosibirsk region, Kharitonov owns a nice cottage and a garage on 19 acres of land in the village of Obskoye – the price is up to 10 million rubles.
In Moscow, Nikolai Kharitonov owns spacious – 102 square meters – apartments worth up to 40 million rubles in a monolithic high-rise building on Academician Anokhin Street between the Olympic Village Park and the Troparevsky Forest.
From cars policy formally only the old UAZ-31519.
As Life found out, Nikolai Kharitonov also uses a 153-square-meter mansion on Veernaya Street near the Setun River Valley and the Matveevsky Forest. The panel house just looks rustic. This building was built for high-ranking officials according to an individual project. The apartments there have an improved layout and high ceilings. Price – from 40 million rubles. Initially, these mansions were the official deputy housing of Kharitonov. But later his family privatized them. Probably, this asset is now registered in the name of one of the deputy’s relatives.
Nikolai Kharitonov positions himself as an exemplary family man. Officially, he has been married for more than 50 years, he has four adult daughters, grandchildren and granddaughters. But there is a nuance. In his declaration of 2016, three minor children suddenly appeared at once. The deputy’s wife was 66 years old at the time; it is unlikely that she gave birth. This gave rise to gossip.
One of Kharitonov’s adult daughters actively rented out real estate: in Anapa, a one-room apartment in a business-class high-rise “Black Sea” for 2,500 rubles a day, in Sochi, a studio in the new residential complex “Idyll” for 23 thousand a month, in Zelenograd, premises in a residential complex ” Zhemchuzhina” for 66 thousand rubles per month; in Khimki, an office in the Levoberezhny residential complex for 38 thousand per month.
It is unlikely that the girl could have bought these assets herself. She works as a stylist, her husband repairs dental equipment.
Another daughter of Kharitonov sold through specialized portals a four-room apartment in Novosibirsk for 12 million rubles, three fur coats for a total of 7 million rubles, several pairs of branded shoes for 150–200 thousand rubles each.
The third daughter put up vacant premises for sale in Novosibirsk for 2.5 million rubles and rented out an office for 25 thousand a month.
The fourth daughter regularly and for a long time posts photographs from the mansion in Barvikha.
