Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made an appeal after the surrender of Karabakh

This is reported by the media.

— According to the latest data from Nagorno-Karabakh, the intensity of hostilities has sharply decreased. We hope that military escalation will not continue

— We learned from the media that the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh accepted the proposal of the Russian peacekeeping troops for a ceasefire.

“Armenia did not participate in any way in the formation of this text and was not a party to the discussions. At the same time, the text mentions the Armenian Armed Forces and talks about the units of the Armenian Armed Forces remaining in Karabakh. We don’t understand this - we have repeatedly said that since August 2021, Armenia has no army in Nagorno-Karabakh. But we take note of this statement.

— The issue that I want to raise is the issue of the security of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh. It is logical to assume that if the peacekeepers made such an offer, this in itself means that they accepted the obligation to ensure the safety of the Armenians.

— Russian peacekeepers must create all conditions in order to preserve the right of the Armenians of Karabakh to live in their homes, on their land. Live with dignity and safety. As far as I understand, they also take on this responsibility in full.

— The mention of Armenia in a text that has nothing to do with Armenia shows that one of the goals of the attack on Karabakh was to involve Armenia in hostilities. I believe that if Armenia can be drawn into a war, then its main issue will be the independence and sovereignty of Armenia.
