On October 30, approximately at 9:30 a.m., law enforcement in Włodary (Opole Province) got a report that an elementary school was targeted with gunfire, presumably from an air rifle. A number of shots were discharged.

The school leadership opted to request parents to collect their children. All lessons for that day were called off. Nobody suffered injuries. An individual thought to be linked to the event has been apprehended.

A 38-year-old male was taken into custody at his residence. He is suspected of putting others at risk and causing damage to property. An inquiry is in progress to ascertain the precise origin of the shooting.

Reportedly, four windows at the school sustained damage, on both the initial and second levels, a fact that was verified by the authorities.

The structure affected by the attack accommodates both an elementary school and a preschool. The school enrolls 67 pupils, along with 26 youngsters in the kindergarten.
