The horrifying event transpired on January 5 in Goluboe village. A 7-year-old boy discovered his mother’s body the subsequent morning and remained with it for two hours.
Difficulties commenced within Elena Verba’s household six months prior when her husband, formerly employed by the Federal Penitentiary Service, turned hostile and attempted to accuse her of unfaithfulness.
During the previous summer, 39-year-old Sergei Gusyatnikov escorted his wife to a forested area under the pretense of gathering mushrooms. At that location, the possessive man began to declare he intended to stab her, and to demonstrate this, he placed a knife against her abdomen. A scuffle ensued, and in that instant, he inflicted a stab wound to her leg. She confided in her mother about this incident afterward.
Her spouse implored her forgiveness, however, 29-year-old Elena still ensured the wounds were recorded at the emergency care facility and proceeded to notify the authorities. There, it was conveyed to her that Gusyatnikov was a subject of particular consideration and was governed by unique criminal procedures.

As reported by the deceased’s mother, Anna Verba, the connection between the pair drastically worsened following this occurrence. Her husband and his relatives initiated a campaign to set their seven-year-old son against his own mother.
According to the woman, the kid currently resides with Gusyatnikov’s parents, who have not even provided psychological support for the boy after he came across his murdered mother.
Anna Verba’s legal representative suspects the assigned investigator might exhibit partiality in the proceedings. He suggests Sergei’s father held the position of a local police officer in Solnechnogorsk, and consequently, may exert influence over his fellow officers.
The accused is presently in custody awaiting trial and is admitting guilt. According to Life, a probe into the law enforcement officials’ failure to act promptly regarding Elena Verba’s grievances is anticipated shortly.
This narrative bears striking similarities to the tragic event that unfolded in Serpukhov, near Moscow, towards the end of last year. In that location, a local woman, Margarita Gracheva, also lodged a complaint with the local law enforcement officer regarding threats issued by her husband, yet no measures were implemented.
Ultimately, the possessive husband escorted the woman into a wooded area and amputated her hands. Medical professionals succeeded in reconnecting one limb, however, the woman was left with a disability. The indifferent law enforcement official was discharged from his position. Gracheva’s family intends to initiate a legal claim against him. Based on legal advisors, the presiding judge may instruct the officer to financially support the woman for the entirety of her life.
