As Yabloko representatives told Ostorozhno Novosti, today party chairman Nikolai Rybakov was laying flowers in the Alexander Garden on Siege Lifting Day (he is a native of the city). At that moment, a police officer approached him and demanded that he remove the green ribbon with the words “from the Yabloko party” that was tied around the flowers.
Rybakov asked the police officer why he was so demanding, as other flowers had ribbons on them. The officer replied, “That's the requirement.” The politician refused to remove the ribbon. According to party representatives, another police officer later approached the scene and inspected the bouquet.
