Peskov spoke about possible meetings between Putin and Western leaders

There is currently no need for meetings between Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders of Western countries.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, writes TASS.

According to him, today the meeting of the head of state with Western leaders “cannot add anything constructive to our agenda.”

“We proceed primarily from the judgments of these representatives of the states of the collective West, from their statements,” said the press secretary of the Russian president.

Earlier, Politico drew attention to the importance of the personal presence of leaders, and not their deputies, at such events. According to Bruce Jones, a former senior adviser to the UN Secretary-General, the real deals at the G20 are made in private, bilateral meetings between leaders.
