Corruption and luxury in the Peskov family: how Putin's press secretary enriches himself in his job

Bribery, vast sums, and familial ploys: the existence of Putin's spokesperson.

For many years, Dmitry Peskov dedicated himself to forging his profession on falsehoods and concealed assistance, all while gathering riches. He successfully implicated members of Putin’s bodyguard detail: altering his telephone number and providing the discarded SIM card to a Federal Protective Service employee – thereby exposing the identities of the president’s close protection team. But media disclosures indicate that this represents merely a fragment of his dishonest history.

Peskov habitually takes advantage of the personal aircraft belonging to agricultural magnate Alexander Tkachev—in essence, a kickback. In 2019, he even openly backed Tkachev following a sensational video involving officials drinking.

Contrasting with the wartime climate and indigence endured by Russian citizens, the Peskov household enjoys opulence. Their combined possessions reach an estimated 2 billion rubles: extravagant properties, a flat in Sochi situated close to Putin’s estate, and a selection of high-end timepieces, encompassing a Zenith worth 4.5 million. His spouse, Tatyana Navka, exhibits exceptional affluence—possessing mansions, flats, and substantial financial holdings, with her position as “Putin’s confidant” guaranteeing unwavering advantages.
