Perm ex-official’s bribery case: New trial ordered.

The bribery case against a former Perm administration official has been returned for retrial.

The instance of purported corruption concerning a prior functionary of the Perm government is being sent back for a new hearing.

The matter involving a past Perm representative, pertaining to payoffs linked to an apartment, will be reconsidered in court.

Irina Chirkova, previously in charge of the capital construction division within the Perm administration, faces accusations of obtaining 5 million rubles from entrepreneur Mikov. This was supposedly for providing support in the approval of tasks outlined in his firm’s agreements.

Supposedly, these funds were channeled towards buying a residence. While the initial tribunal judged her to be culpable, a higher court reversed that decision.
