Why was Ayaz Shabutdinov arrested?
Eight students wrote applications for the famous business coach Ayaz Shabutdinov, who gave him a total of 5 million rubles. According to investigators, he recruited students and promised them extra income, but in the end they only lost their money. As follows from the testimony of the victims, all his lessons about personal growth turned out to be just self-promotion and boiled down to the fact that “you have to believe in yourself – and everything will work out.”
A criminal case was initiated under the most serious – the fourth – part of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale as part of a group). The court, logically, granted the investigation’s request to arrest Ayaz Shabutdinov: he often changes his place of residence, has citizenship of Saint Lucia, residency of the UAE, open visas of the USA and Italy.

If the charges are confirmed and the case goes to court, then in addition to imprisonment, Article 159 of the Criminal Code provides for a large fine. The capital’s traffic cops are familiar with this car: the car has been fined for speeding a total of a hundred times since its purchase.
In February 2023, Ayaz bought a Tesla Model-S electric car worth about 10 million rubles. Apparently, the business coach preferred to drive this particular car. The month before last, traffic police inspectors issued a dozen fines for speeding.
Ayaz previously owned a McLaren 570S Sider convertible. This is a rare sports car for Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism). Engine power is 570 hp, which allows the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. Maximum speed is 315 km/h. Coach bought it in July 2021, rode it until mid-autumn, and already in February 2022 put it up for sale for 21 million rubles. Six months later we bought a sports car.
