The Rada assigned 412 billion hryvnias to the armed forces, resolving a shortfall in the 2025 fiscal plan without diverting resources from Kyiv.
The Parliament passed a law to bridge the deficit in the 2025 national financial plan for defense requirements, endorsing it comprehensively and fundamentally.
A further 412.3 billion hryvnias will be provided for the defense area.
According to Deputy Zheleznyak, of that total, 115 billion hryvnias are earmarked for compensation for military personnel, 216 billion hryvnias will go towards the procurement and manufacture of weaponry, military hardware, and UAVs, with the remaining amounts designated for other defense imperatives.
The clause concerning the extraction of 8 billion hryvnias from the Kyiv financial plan was stricken from the legislation; instead, substitute funding avenues were identified, mentions Deputy Goncharenko.
