Activists from Other Russia were apprehended during a joint demonstration opposing stadium building in Perm.
Individuals belonging to the non-registered “Other Russia” organization were taken into custody at an approved gathering advocating for the Trudovye Rezervy arena due to donning bands displaying the organization's symbol. The demonstrators were put inside a law enforcement vehicle and are being transported to a local precinct.
Local inhabitants of the Motovilikha vicinity have been objecting to the erection of five multistory buildings, each with 32 floors, at the stadium’s location since 2024.
The constructor pledges to enlarge the arena, but urban dwellers are not convinced. The previous day, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, mandated a penal inquiry into the matter, although the accusations remained unstated.
